Cell Service: Our T-Mobile phones have spotty service from about Callao to Reedville. We've been told that most folks have Verizon as a carrier down there, so if that is your carrier too, you're in luck! As you plan your trip, you might want to bring a hard copy of directions just in case! There is WiFi at the house, so you can look up/download directions to local spots there (WiFi info below).
Address: The house is located in Reedville, VA. Text Heath or Ian for the exact address!
Unlocking the Front Door: Heath and Ian will text you a five digit Front Door Keypad Code. To unlock the door, type your code in. The locking mechanism should make a sound as it unlocks the deadbolt. If your code doesn't work, give us a call. We can reset it remotely for you.
Disarming the Security System: Heath and Ian will also text you a four digit Security System Pin. To disarm the Security System once you are inside, type in the Security System Pin, then select the sheild with the "x" (shown in blue below). If your code doesn't work, give us a call. We can reset it remotely for you.
Security Cameras: There is a security camera mounted above the fridge which points out over the kitchen and livingroom. We leave this on while the house is empty as a precaution. Feel free to slide the white cover over the lens for privacy while you are staying at the house. No other cameras point inside the house, though there are several that point outside (including one in the laundry room window).
Bedding & Towels: Hopefully the previous guests have left you with clean, made beds! If not, you can find all of the extra bedding and towels on the large shelf in the upstairs bathroom.
Unlocking Deck & Porch Doors: The screened in porch door can be opened by lifting the handle up first, then twisting the lock to unlatch the deadbolt. The double deck doors work the same way, but be sure to open the right hand door first so the left will unlatch. To lock these doors, you'll lift the handle up before twisting the latch to close the deadbolt.
Unlocking/Locking Windows: All of the windows have similar mechanisms. To unlock the windows, pull the lever (located midway up the frame) down, then rotate the winding lever (located at the base of the window) until the window is open. If you happen to get to the house before we have put screens in for the summer, you can find all of the screens in a curtained closet behind the door of the downstairs bathroom.
WiFi: The Wifi name is "Ian" and the password is Ian's cell number (with no dashes).
